Pretwinkle Suzuki VIolin
An introduction to the movement of teaching violin that has proven successful for many years for young students and their parents. Students learn fundamentals of posture, instrument care, relaxed movement, and tone production. Parental involvement is essential at the beginning stage, and should be able to commit to daily practice with their child. **Required materials are Suzuki Volume 1 book and CD, and a rental instrument.
SUZUKI VIOLIN CLUB - BOOK LEVEL 1
A group class experience for students who are in Book 1 of the Suzuki Violin Method and/or have previously been enrolled in class/lessons at DaySpring. Students will learn beginning theory/note reading concepts, learn supplemental repertoire and have fun playing as a group! Building community and working together will be the key concepts of this class.
Come play with us! In this class, we will learn the basic concepts of rhythm, tone and posture through songs and games. Parents are encouraged to participate with their child, as the activities will help you bond with your child and help you to be prepared to help with practice assignments at home. A rental instrument is recommended but not required.
Saxophone ensembles give a life to music like no other instrument! Its brashy sound works for jazz, rock, and even classical music for all levels of players! Join the club once a week this summer and explore its versatility with other players.
Learn some new tools for your trade while building on fundamentals like tuning, sight-reading, and quality musicianship.
For students who have played at least one year. No class on July 8th.
Sight reading, intonation, and ear training skills will be the main focus as students play great tunes in pop and jazz. Basic theory for improvisation purposes will also be addressed each week.
For students who have played 3 or more years. No class on July 8th.
Learn to play this simple island instrument as a beginner or add to your guitar skills this summer. Parents and kids together are welcome to participate!
