SUMMER PRODUCTIONS

Presenting Ballet and Musical Performances You'll Love! 
Performers will take their skills to the stage by performing in a full length produc􀆟tion! Between rehearsing and preparing for the show, they will enhance their techniques in voice, dance, and ac􀆟ting to add to their repertoire of abili􀆟ties.
TUCK EVERLASTING

What would you do if you had all eternity? Eleven-year-old Winnie Foster yearns for a life of adventure beyond her white picket fence, but not until she becomes unexpectedly entwined with the Tuck Family does she get more than she could have imagined. When Winnie learns of the magic behind the Tuck’s unending youth, she must fight to protect their secret from those who would do anything for a chance at eternal life. As her adventure unfolds, Winnie faces an extraordinary choice: return to her life, or continue with the Tucks on their infinite journey.

For this camp, initial registration payment (half tuition) will be a deposit to hold your students audition spot. We will be casting approximately 35 cast members. 

If student is cast, final payment will be due on auto bill date prior to first day of camp. If a student is not cast you will be refunded your deposit.***

MEET THE DIRECTORS

Allegra is thrilled to return to Dayspring in a new role. Originally from St. Charles, MO, Allegra earned her BFA in Musical Theatre and BS in Dance from Missouri State University. Allegra has a passion for teaching Pilates, dance, and theatre, as well as performing. Previous Dayspring credits include: Into the Woods (Choreo), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Choreo, Ass. Dir.), and Suessical (Choreo, Ass. Dir.). Recent Choreographic and Directorial credits include: Sleeping Beauty (Director/Actor, Prairie Fire Children's Theatre), dance film a jaunty frolic (Dir./Choreo, Manifest International Dance Film Festival, and Big D Mobile Film Festival), Marvelous Meep Island Adventure (Dramaturg/Movement Director, Southern Maine University), bare: a pop opera (Choreographer, Missouri State University). Performance credits  include The Great Gatsby (Myrtle/Dance Captain, Marshfield Community Theatre) Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Childcatcher/Junkman/ u/s Truly), and The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (Ares Camper/featured dancer) with Springfield Little Theatre, the world premiere of the opera Sweet Louisa (u/s Wife) with Ozarks Lyric Opera. Allegra is a full time Pilates instructor at the Bodysmith, and teaches dance at SLT as well as guest teaching at several other studios. She would like to thank April, and Kaetlin for their trust in this process, and Grace for being her right hand man.

Jonathan is a Southern Missouri native who now resides in Nashville, Tennessee. He received his undergraduate degree in Music Education from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri where he was named the Outstanding Graduate in Music Education. His love for music stretches into many different genres and art forms and crosses many musical & artistic borders. His musical work reaches into everything from designing for marching bands, to on-stage musical theatre directing & choreographing, as well as writing for church & professional orchestras. He has played for and musically directed more than a dozen shows including Elf Jr., Once Upon A Mattress, The Spongebob Musical, and My Fair Lady to name just a few. Jonathan maintains dozens of musical clients throughout the year as a freelance composer/arranger and founder of his educational publishing company, Jonathan Martin Music. Additionally he teaches beginning through advanced classical & contemporary voice and piano out of his home studio in Nashville, TN. May you find excellence abounding in Jonathan's work and a renewed sense of God's gift to mankind reflected through the notes and music he produces.

Peter and his mischievous fairy sidekick, Tinkerbell, visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and, with a sprinkle of pixie dust, begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget. In the adventure of a lifetime, the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, the fierce Brave Girls, a band of bungling pirates and, of course, the villainous Captain Hook.

Claire Baur is excited to return this summer for another Dayspring Summer Show! She was a part of Dayspring’s 2016 summer production of Peter Pan, so this show is very near to her heart. She can’t wait to tell this amazing story with this talented group of young actors!

David Gregory developed a passion for songwriting over a decade ago. This passion served as the foundation and catapult into the greater world of music. In 2018, David entered the professional world of teaching with private voice and piano lessons. In 2020, he became the official worship pastor for his home church. In 2021, he released his debut worship project titled "Jesus Is Enough".David graduated with his Bachelor's in Music from Missouri Baptist University in the spring of 2022. While at MBU, he developed a deep love for music education and now aspires to be the best educator he can be. Highlights of David's educational career include directing MBU's gospel choir with his original songs, starting a successful club for songwriters, music producers, and artists, and soloing for MBU's select choir and opera theatre. David's first love will forever be songwriting and composition, however, in close seconds are piano/keys improvisation, vocal styles, arranging, worship leading, and performance. David is grateful and excited to be a part of the DaySpring family, and he is thrilled to be making so many wonderful relationships and so much awesome music with the students and faculty of our academy.

Dr. Coppelius has made a life-size dancing doll that is so lifelike Franz, a village youth, falls in love. Swanhilda shows him his folly by dressing as a doll, and pretending to make it come to life. Will she save him from an untimely end at the hands of the inventor? Join Dr. Coppelius, Franz, and the dolls on a magical adventure!

Ashley Stettes is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Minor in Fine Arts Entrepreneurship. In addition to her many accomplishments, she was named the Outstanding Dance Senior of her class! Ashley is currently dancing professionally with Ballet 314 here in St. Louis dancing roles such as Clara in The Nutcracker and the World’s Fair and Leah in Ragtime. Ashley has also previously performed with Common Thread Contemporary Ballet and Leverage Dance Theater. Aside from dancing, Ashley serves as the Assistant Director at Devine Performing Arts, an Adjunct Instructor of Dance at Missouri Baptist University, and also teaches with Vitality in Motion bringing dance inspired fitness classes to senior citizens throughout the St. Louis area. During her time at SEMO, Ashley had the opportunity to perform a variety of styles including ballet, modern, jazz, pointe, contemporary, tap, and aerial. She also had the opportunity to be cast by and work with several guest choreographers including Brenna Monroe-Cook from the Limon Company, Cesar Salinas from Giordano Dance Chicago, Jeremy Plummer and Taylor Mitchell. Aside from being a performer, Ashley has had her choreography presented in both main stage and second stage shows at SEMO. She was also selected to set a piece on a group of incoming freshmen her junior year and set a piece on some students at the university's first ever dance intensive. Ashley has attended several summer intensives, conferences, and master classes to help further her training. Ashley is a proud member of NDEO and graduated with dance honors through the National Honor Society of Dance Arts. Beyond that, she was a member of the Stephens Honors College and two other honor societies on campus: Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Eta Sigma. She was also an active member of University Dancers United where she served as Community Outreach Chair, Vice President, and President. Ashley had the opportunity to work with the students of Dayspring this past summer setting excerpts from Paquita on them during their summer intensive, and again earlier this season where she set original work in Winter Wonderland!
