Happy Readers
Ages 5-6
This class is great for emerging readers. It will introduce kids to awesome children’s literature to get them excited about books and reading and help them develop the skills to discuss stories with others. In class, we will read part or all of the books depending on their length. Then we will spend the rest of the class responding to the story through activities like crafts, role-playing, games, and making our own picture books. - This program does not teach kids to read.
Mad Scientists Club
Ages 7-9
Science really is fun! It is all around us...and even in us! Using hands on experiments, activities and projects we will explore the world around us! We will investigate many different topics in science including physics, earth science, chemistry, weather, animal science, plant science, the human body and much more! Topics will be covered in interactive classes that incorporate hands on activities in a way sure to engage and excite!
Circus A
Ages 7-9
Offered by Kinetic Tapestry Physical Theatre company here in the very same building, this class is an introduction and development of everything circus. This is a physically active class where students are introduced to juggling, balancing, tumbling, and clowning. It will challenge them to not only develop individual body control, be creative and expressive, but also how to work together with a group to create a fun and entertaining piece.
Children’s Choir
Ages 8-13
DaySpring’s Children’s Choir offers a fun and educational musical experience, with performances in two annual concerts. Students learn basic music concepts such as keeping a steady beat, correct singing posture, choral vocal technique, music terminology, and sight-singing skills. They perform a variety of age-appropriate repertoire, including hymns, Christian choir songs, folk music, and more, and begin singing in two- or three-part harmony. The choir emphasizes vocal technique and expression, aiming to inspire a lifelong love of music in both the singers and their families.
Art Innovators
Ages 10-13
In this engaging art class, students explore creativity, personal expression, and social awareness while developing stronger technical and representational skills. Through discussions about community, culture, environment, and social issues, they refine their artistic voice and create work that reflects both personal and collective experiences. As students advance, teachers guide them toward longer, sustained focus, persistence, collaboration, and increasingly self-motivated projects, including multi-step works that use a variety of tools and techniques..
Intro to Musical Theatre
Ages 10-13
An introduction to the world of musical theatre for the performer in your family! Your student will receive high-quality training in voice, dance, and acting for musical theatre, learning techniques such as vocal projection, stage presence, and character development.

Depending on enrollment, this skill-building class will culminate in either a mini musical performance at the end of the year or by joining as an ensemble of a larger musical production! They will also perform in Fall Showcase and Finale.
Violin Progression I
By Placement Only
This class builds on the skills learned in **Bow and Play**, introducing more structured and challenging pieces from the next level of the Suzuki method or other beginner materials. Students will advance their note-reading, rhythmic accuracy, bow control, and dynamic expression. They’ll continue to develop ear training and refine technique through targeted exercises and repertoire. The class emphasizes performance confidence, musical phrasing, and introduces simple duet playing and varied music styles, preparing students for Violin Progression II.

Mini Foley Artists: Music, Movement, and Storytelling
Ages 5-7
This energetic, hands-on class is specially designed for our youngest students to explore music through performance, movement, and creativity. Students will engage with age-appropriate songs while playing a variety of instruments, including mallets, recorders, drums, and other percussion instruments. Singing, rhythm work, and musical phrasing are woven together with playful movement activities to bring music to life.

The class emphasizes cross-disciplinary learning, blending music with storytelling and creative expression. Students will have the opportunity to work on a special project using storytelling and Foley techniques, creating sound effects and musical accompaniments to enhance a story. Through these interactive, performance-based experiences, children build foundational skills in rhythm, pitch, melody, and music notation, all while developing confidence, creativity, and coordination.

If your child loves reading stories, telling imaginative tales, exploring instruments, and staying busy with curious hands and a joyful heart, this is the perfect class for them. The experience culminates in a performance at the second Enrichment Showcase, where students proudly share their storytelling and Foley creations with an audience.
Beginning Contemporary Modern
Ages 7-9
An introduction to common styles and basic principles of contemporary and modern dance. Students will build awareness of correct physical alignment, gain strength, and increase coordination through movement. Activities will encourage creativity and self-expression.

***This class is a perfect companion to Beginning Tap and Jazz, a Ballet class, or a Musical Theatre class! Or it can be taken alone by students ages 7-9, who have little or no dance experience.

Contemporary Modern 1
Ages 10-13
There are many different modern dance techniques that students will learn in these classes, including Graham, Horton, and Contract-Release. Contemporary dance is a fusion of styles of modern dance and other movement techniques, often with a heavy emphasis on Release Technique while maintaining a foundation in Modern dance. As students progress through our Modern Contemporary Curriculum, they will increase awareness of correct physical alignment, gain strength, and improve coordination while learning to use purposeful weight placement to initiate different movements. Creativity, improvisation, and self expression through movement will be emphasized throughout each level.​

Creative Threads
Ages 10-15
Get creative with thread, yarn, and fabric in this hands-on fiber arts class! Students will explore a variety of techniques including sewing, crocheting, weaving, and other textile crafts while learning the foundational skills behind each art form. Through fun projects and guided instruction, students will develop patience, creativity, and confidence as they design and create their own handmade pieces!
