About DaySpring
DaySpring Arts & Education is a fast growing non-profit arts organization located in Maryland Heights that provides quality arts education to the community.  DaySpring’s mission is to train our students in the creative arts and academics with excellence and to equip them to use the arts and their skills effectively in their lives, impacting the community.  DaySpring builds strong foundations in lives, young and old, to sustain their fully developed gifts, and for them to be enjoyed, celebrated and utilized in those lives for a lifetime. Responsibilities for Programming

  • Manager of Interdepartmental Programs/ Events

  • Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization

  • Collaborate with all Department Heads to provide feedback and resolve complex problems

  • Prepare and manage bi-monthly department head meetings along with one on one meetings

  • Manage Program planning from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes

  • Ensure cohesion among all programs

  • Ensure program operations and activities adhere to internal policies

  • Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people

  • Keep Executive Director informed with detailed and accurate updates


Responsibilities for Outreach

  • Create an annual outreach plan

  • Recruit, train, and utilize DaySpring staff/ teachers for outreach events

  • Attend relevant community meetings; participate in relevant councils and committees

  • Schedule outreach events in the community

  • Communicate with staff, and Marketing Coordinator regarding coverage and responsibilities in the events

  • Maintain relationships with collaborative partners and cultivates new ones



Hours: 25-30 hours per week on average    
Pay Range: $13-15 per hour 



  • Maintain the DaySpring culture

  • Uphold the vision for the programming of the Performing Arts Department (class offerings, curriculum)

  • Oversee teachers: hire, train, perform regular check-ins and reviews, manage class communication

  • Schedule and coordinate department classes, rehearsals, and events

  • Evenings and weekends will occasionally be required

  • Operate as a liaison between families and staff (communication, conflict resolution, etc.)

  • Communicate regularly with various staff on things such as spatial needs and registration numbers

  • General administration for the department

    • Communicate with Executive Director

    • Policy updates

    • Manage yearly budget

    • Handle new student inquiries

    • Attend and sometimes lead regular meetings with various staff

    • Attend performances and occasional classes / rehearsals 

    • Direct and/or coordinate departmental events and performances



Hours: 20-25 hours per week on average     

Pay Range: $13-15 per hour    


DaySpring is searching for a highly qualified instructor to teach violin.


A Bachelor degree in music is the required minimum ... private lesson studio teaching experience is a must. Candidates should have a background that will enhance their instruction for students at the Beginner, through Intermediate, and Advanced levels of study. Experience organizing and directing string ensemble performers is highly desire-able, as is knowledge of the general interaction between all instrumental sections of the traditional orchestra.


All private music instructors have access to full administrative support, spacious studios in a secure environment, regularly scheduled recitals, and a variety of collaborative performance opportunities throughout the year.
