Responsibilities

  • Answer door, phone, general email

  • Greeting families & community members

  • Develop relationships with parents & students

  • Create a welcoming environment

  • Take registration forms

  • Convey class rates

  • Lookup information on database

  • Administrative support to staff as needed

  • General filing of front desk materials

  • Keep area orderly and organized

  • Keep flyers stocked and printed

  • Work with staff calendars & schedules

  • Print & record attendance sheets

  • Notification of class cancellations & changes

  • Open or close building

  • Monitor security

  • Selling small merchandise and event tickets

  • Scanning and copying

  • Other miscellaneous jobs as needed

FRONT DESK ADMINISTRATOR

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in the use of the internet and google suite

  • Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to exceed expectations of families and community members

  • Capacity to multitask during peak hours of operation

  • Commitment to punctuality and teamwork

  • Ability to cover occasional odd shifts

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Shift Coverage Needed: Evenings & Saturdays, MUST have Wednesday night availability

Hours: 10-20 hours/ week          Pay: $10-13/ hour

Available: Position open immediately

HANDYMAN

Hours: dependent on need, approximately 10-15 hours per week


Pay: $12-13/ hour

Responsibilities

  • Various building repairs and maintenance could include: walls, floors, construction, equipment such as computers and phones, electrical, HVAC (minimally), and networking

  • Ability to follow instructions on the repair and improvement of the facility

  • Report building repair needs to the Building Manager

  • Ability to work with others on larger projects

  • Assist with the daily duties of the building including the removal of trash and stocking supplies

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in the use of the internet, specifically google suite

  • Knowledge of computer drivers and troubleshooting

  • Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects

  • Commitment to punctuality and teamwork

  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation

  • Basic knowledge of standard tools and their usage

LEGO ROBOTICS INSTRUCTOR

FRIDAYS 1:15-2:30, January to May

DaySpring is looking for an instructor for our Lego Robotics class for ages 10-13 on Fridays this spring.  Curriculum for this class is provided. If interested in learning more email: Angie Mather at angiemather@dayspringarts.org.

Class Description:

Put your creative thinking skills to work with the fun of programming and the innovation of creating new machines.  Students will be challenged to create things that will solve real life problems and tasks. They will be using the Mindstorm Robotics platform along with many other programming platforms to give them greater exposure to how real engineers work.  This class is appropriate for both new and returning students, as it will include new challenges from last year. All of the materials for the class will be provided and kept by DaySpring.

MUSIC INSTRUCTORS

DaySpring offers a secure environment and private instructors receive full administrative support, providing multiple recital and collaborative performance opportunities throughout the year.

 

Music teachers have spacious studios with acoustic pianos available throughout the department. We encourage studio classes as well as department recitals to offer every experience we can to our students. DaySpring recognizes how private music study benefits every student at whatever level they reach in an encouraging atmosphere.

 

Qualified applicants should be passionate about teaching, provide a nurturing environment, and give a strong foundation in technique, understanding and artistry to prepare for performance. ​

GUITAR INSTRUCTOR - Private Lessons

Bachelors degree in Music (minimum) with some experience with teaching various styles is preferred.  Lessons teachers make their own schedules. Lessons can be offered in the daytime, evening & Saturday.
