ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS 

DANCE DEPARTMENT HEAD

Position Summary

We are looking for an organized detail-oriented professional to serve as Dance Department Head in a creative environment. It is important that our department heads are both creative and administrative.  This part-time position has a significant role in the operations of DaySpring.  The hours will be flexible but scheduled in advance. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage overlapping deadlines on various projects at once. 

 

Compensation ranges from $12-15 with hours ranging 15-20 hours a week

ARTS TEACHING POSITIONS 

ART INSTRUCTORS

Position Summary

DaySpring is seeking qualified part time Art Teachers to grow our Art Department. We are accepting applications for a variety of art classes in both 2D and 3D art. A bachelor's degree in art is preferred.  Applicants should be experienced in educating students and enthusiastic about encouraging the fundamentals in art and creativity.  We are looking for ongoing classes as well as workshops, summer classes and outreach classes. Saturday and weekday availability is preferred. 

 

The instructor must be comfortable adapting their teaching style to the needs of the student and DaySpring's COVID guidelines.

SAXOPHONE INSTRUCTOR

Position Summary

Dayspring is seeking a qualified, dedicated and enthusiastic saxophone instructor to join a collaborative and growing community. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in music required, masters preferred. Instructor must be comfortable adapting their lessons to Dayspring’s COVID-19 guidelines.

Compensation ranges from $33-39 per hour, based upon qualifications and experience.

ACADEMY TEACHING POSITIONS FOR 21-22

About the Academy

DaySpring is a university model school, which means we schedule classes at all levels like a university.  Our kindergarten through fourth grade students come to school only on Tuesdays and Thursdays; our fifth through twelfth graders come to school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The school embraces a progressive-project based approach to education. We focus on collaboration, critical thinking, effective communication and creativity in all content areas. Our teachers enjoy a light schedule where they can teach in a rewarding classroom and still have days off for other pursuits and family responsibilities.

 

Qualifications

DaySpring Academy only hires individuals with a degree and certification.

 

Teaching Positions Available
  • 1st & 2nd grade teachers - Teach Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8:45am to 2:30pm

  • English & Social Studies teachers (5-12th grade) - Teach Mondays, Wednesday & Fridays

  • Foreign Language teacher (7-12th grade) - Teach Mondays, Wednesday & Fridays

  • Math teacher (5-8th grade) - Teach Mondays, Wednesday & Fridays
