ADMINISTRATION POSITIONS 

FRONT DESK ADMINISTRATOR

Position Summary

This position is responsible for general communication with the public. Responsibilities include: greeting families & community members, creating a welcoming environment, answering door, phone, general email, lookup information on database, and other general administrative tasks.

Compensation ranges from $11-13 with hours ranging 10-12 hours a week.

ARTS TEACHING POSITIONS 

STEAM CAMP COUNSELOR

Position Summary

Looking for a fun and rewarding summer job? DaySpring is seeking responsible camp counselors for Summer STEAM camps. Duties would include overseeing students during break periods and lunch, assisting teachers in classes as needed, and developing small crafts/activities for students as needed.

 

Availability will need to be 9am-4pm, Monday-Friday. Additional availability for before and after care may be necessary.

MUSIC CLASS INSTRUCTOR

Position Summary

Dayspring is seeking an experienced and energetic instructor to teach our Music Discoverers class for 5-6 year olds and Music Explorers classes for 7-9 year olds. These classes foster students’ creativity and knowledge of basic musical concepts while introducing them to music from different cultures around the world. Familiarity with Orff and/or Kodaly methods preferred. Instructor must be comfortable adapting their activities to adhere to Dayspring’s COVID-19 guidelines.

Position responsibilities will be 2.5 hours per week on Friday mornings at $25-30 per hour, with optional performances throughout the year.

VOCAL INSTRUCTOR

Position Summary

Dayspring is seeking an experienced and energetic instructor to join a collaborative and growing community. A minimum of bachelor’s degree in music required and compensation will range from $33-39 per hour, based upon qualifications and experience.

VIOLIN INSTRUCTOR

Position Summary

Dayspring is seeking a qualified violin/viola instructor to join a collaborative and growing community starting in the fall of 2021. A minimum of bachelor’s degree in music required, masters preferred. Suzuki Method training is a plus but not required. Instructor must be comfortable adapting their lessons to Dayspring’s COVID-19 guidelines.​

Compensation ranges from $33-39 per hour, based upon qualifications and experience.

ACADEMY TEACHING POSITIONS FOR 21-22

About the Academy

DaySpring is a university model school, which means we schedule classes at all levels like a university.  Our kindergarten through fourth grade students come to school only on Tuesdays and Thursdays; our fifth through twelfth graders come to school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The school embraces a progressive-project based approach to education. We focus on collaboration, critical thinking, effective communication and creativity in all content areas. Our teachers enjoy a light schedule where they can teach in a rewarding classroom and still have days off for other pursuits and family responsibilities.

 

Qualifications

DaySpring Academy only hires individuals with a degree and certification.

 

Teaching Positions Available
  • 1st & 2nd grade teachers - Teach Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8:45am to 2:30pm

  • English & Social Studies teachers (5-12th grade) - Teach Mondays, Wednesday & Fridays

  • Foreign Language teacher (7-12th grade) - Teach Mondays, Wednesday & Fridays

  • Math teacher (7-8th grade) - Teach Mondays, Wednesday & Fridays
