FOR YOUNG ARTISTS

Mini Makers: Art Adventures
Ages 5-6

Through fun, hands-on activities using a variety of materials like paint, clay, and oil pastels, young students explore famous artists and the elements of art while learning to express themselves creatively. Each week, they experiment with color, line, shape, form, value, and texture to make engaging, interactive projects that spark imagination and artistic confidence.

Imagination Station: Creative Journeys
Ages 7-9

Through hands-on, project-based lessons using media like sculpture, drawing, painting, and mixed media, students learn the principles and elements of art while exploring the work of famous artists. They also develop artistic collaboration skills and practice discussing art in meaningful ways, all in a fun and active environment that encourages creativity and engagement.

Clay for Young Artists
Ages 7-12

Dive into clay to explore handbuilding, sculpture, and texture as students create tiles, trays, and other projects using earthenware and air-dry clay. Along the way, they develop strong studio habits like focus, persistence, and careful craftsmanship while building foundational ceramic skills and experimenting with glazing and creative techniques

Clay Handbuilding
Ages 12+

This beginner-to-intermediate clay class guides teens and young adults in exploring handbuilding, slab construction, carving, and glazing to create tiles, trays, clocks, masks, and more. In a supportive studio environment, students develop strong studio habits like focus, self-direction, and independent work while learning techniques and bringing their own creative ideas to life.

Art & Design Lab
Ages 10-13

Art & Design Lab is a creative studio experience for students ages 10–13 who are ready to explore ideas and grow their artistic voice. In this open-studio style class, students work on individual and small-group projects while receiving guidance, feedback, and skill support from the instructor. Through drawing, design, and mixed-media exploration, young artists are encouraged to experiment, make creative choices, and develop confidence in their own visual style within a supportive and inspiring studio environment.

Studio Practice
Ages 14-16

An Independent Studio class designed for students who are ready to develop their own artistic voice while working on self-directed projects. Participants bring their own ideas and materials and receive guidance, feedback, and mentorship from a professional artist in a supportive studio environment. This is not a step-by-step instructional class — students should already have the skills, focus, and confidence to work independently on their artwork. The studio provides space for exploration, problem-solving, and thoughtful artistic growth while maintaining a self-motivated atmosphere.
