Movement and Mindfulness

Practice and learn skills for slowing down through mindful movement, breathwork and art activities. 

Designed as a class to relax, stay present, and create judgment-free art, this class offers a body and mind reset!

 

The Movement and Mindfulness portion of this class will use movement techniques such as yoga, strength and stretch, breathwork, and improvisation to bring awareness and relaxation to our minds and bodies. This class is perfect for both beginners and experienced movers.​

 

8 weeks - Session 1,  September 5th - October 24th

Adult Tap

As students progress through our tap curriculum, they start by building on basic tap vocabulary learned in Beginning Tap & Jazz. Tap 1 emphases clarity and rhythmic consistency while learning to link steps together into more complex rhythms. Tap 2 focuses on rhythm, timing, dynamics, and steady increase of tempo and introduces students to differences between Rhythm and Broadway styles of tap. Tap 3 students will continue to expand and hone their technical skills through advanced steps, patterns, and improvisation.


Students in this class may chose to perform in DaySpring’s end of year recital, Finale
